Project Engineer – Plumbing / Process Piping Great Basin Staffing LLC

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000, based on experience

Status: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Occasional overtime as needed

Travel: Required to regional branch offices and project sites

Overview:

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support commercial HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects. This position is ideal for a candidate early in their construction management career who is eager to grow. The Project Engineer will assist Project Managers with coordination, documentation, procurement, and scheduling tasks to help deliver large-scale MEP projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with procurement tracking, labor coordination, and schedule updates
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and other project documentation
• Support field operations and help resolve technical or installation issues
• Participate in project kickoff, progress, and OAC meetings
• Maintain communication with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Track job progress, costs, materials, and deliveries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Mechanical preferred)
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical construction or a combination of education and field experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools a plus)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
