Job Description

We are looking for an observant and highly responsible Lifeguard who can ensure the safety of our patrons 37.5-40 hours each week. The perfect candidate for this job is 18 years of age or older and is able to identify risks, think quickly, and respond appropriately. Safety is always our top priority, but we also value customer satisfaction. The right person for this job will be able to work with people of different ages and backgrounds, treating all patrons with respect and a positive attitude.

The main responsibility of a Lifeguard is keeping everyone safe from harm, so excellent skills in the water are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all activities and identifying safety issues
• Recognize signs of danger
• Perform first aid procedures when necessary
• Closely monitor pool-related activities
• Monitor weather reports to ensure safety
• Direct swimmers to exit the water in hazardous conditions
• Provide assistance to patrons
• Provide emergency care until the arrival of medical services
• Perform maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Explain and enforce rules, regulations, and policies
• Maintain appropriate activity reports

Requirements:

• 18 years of age and older
• Valid ARC certification preferred but available upon hire
• First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Physically fit, agile, and strong enough to tread water for 2 minutes and swim a consecutives 200 meters
• Previous Lifeguard experience preferred
