Job Description

A respected law firm with a collaborative team environment is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys. This is an essential, high-responsibility role that requires a proactive and independent professional who is organized, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Salary is up to $100K DOE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and court forms
  • Perform state, federal, and administrative e-filings, ensuring timely service of documents
  • Coordinate conflict checks, matter openings, and obtain necessary waivers
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and make travel arrangements
  • Prepare and process expense reimbursements
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital case files
  • Interact with clients, courts, and vendors professionally and promptly
  • Assist in preparation of document productions
  • Utilize legal software tools including Word (advanced features), Compulaw, and document management systems

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a litigation secretary role within a law firm setting
  • Proficiency with litigation procedures and court filing protocols (electronic and manual)
  • Strong command of MS Word, including formatting and generation of Tables of Authorities/Contents
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced workload
  • Knowledge of Compulaw or similar calendaring software preferred
