Job Description

Hybrid Details: Onsite Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Hours : Shift is flexible but can be 7-3:30 pm or 8-4:30 pm EST

Duration: 11 months to start

  • This client needs an admin assistant with budget experience: invoicing processing, strong Microsoft office skills
  • Some responsibilities include taking meeting minutes, invoice processing, creating purchase orders, co-managing budget with cost center and monthly accruals
  • IT background a huge plus because eventually this person will work with the finance team to coordinate with IT vendors and help manage their contracts/invoices
  • Responsible for 1 cost center which is 8-9 million, might have an opportunity to help in other cost centers
  • They need a great communicator and team player!

Job Description

  • The client is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, self-directed individual to fill a consultant position assisting the IT team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates with a finance or IT background are preferred.
  • The individual will perform a variety of day-to-day responsibilities in the IT department as well as a number of administrative tasks.
  • Ideal candidates will exhibit attention to detail and have the ability to organize and execute activities on a strict timeline.
  • Individuals shall be comfortable coordinating activities across multiple support and business units.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform Administrative functions including invoice processing, purchase order processing, accrual preparation, data file updates, and spreadsheet updates.
  • Work with Cost Center Manager/s to provide on-going budget support, including analysis, updates, and reports, within established IT and Finance timelines.
  • Provide meeting support, including scheduling, agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.
  • Various other technical administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Education:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Accounting or related field or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Experience with budget management
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite applications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Punctual
