About M&G Foodstuff:  M&G Foodstuff is a boutique catering company located in NYC’s East Village. Since 2013, we’ve been delivering hyper-seasonal, produce-driven, and health-centric food to clients across high-end drop-off catering and full-service events. Job Summary:  An integral member of M&G’s leadership, this position must lead, inspire and embody our values and cultural philosophy in all interactions with our team, clients and vendors. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company, leading and growing a team of people who exemplify our culture and values and ensuring successful operations of the business. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations—including culinary and logistics—to ensure seamless execution of both drop-off and full-service events
• Partner with the Director of Catering & Sales on business development initiatives and growth strategies to meet monthly and annual revenue goals.
• Oversee and manage all SOPs and daily workflows, ensuring consistent team adherence across all departments.
• Manage budgets, COGS, and vendor negotiations to optimize margins
• Support kitchen leadership on menu development, recipe documentation, and kitchen scheduling
• Ensure all licensing, insurance, and HR compliance is up to date
• Drive sustainability initiatives and implement new tech tools to streamline operations
• Support all departments in the hiring, training, and development of staff across the organization
• Cultivate a high-performing team and inclusive company culture

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years in catering/events with at least 3 in a senior ops role
• Proven experience executing offsite events with food, rentals, and staffing
• Culinary operations experience and comfort working closely with a kitchen team
• Strategic thinking with strong financial and data fluency
• Experience scaling operations in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting or leading sales and business development initiatives, with a strong understanding of how operations drives revenue growth
• Strong leadership, team development, and delegation skills
• Familiarity with systems like TripleSeat, QuickBooks, and PM tools
• Spanish fluency is a plus
